The Jacobs-Hurley mishmash

Jacob and I met waaaay back in freshman year at our mutual friend John's birthday party. I thought he was a nerd and I honestly thought he was like 10. He thought I was loud, annoying, and way to hyper. Definitely not love-at-first-sight.

Fast forward to a few months later. I notice this short kid hanging with my group in the mornings and sitting in my math class. He looks familiar, but I can't for the life of me figure out who the hell he is is. We finally figure out where we knew each other from, and settle into being classmates that like to joke around with each other.

Freshman year I had my "first love". When he dumped me, I was heart broken. Jacob ran into said ex at the store and when he found out we broke up he messaged me on Myspace. Apparently, he couldn't believe my ex dumped me, instead of the other way around (which was flattering, but it didn't make me feel much better). We started talking, and he came over to my house to hang out about a week before school got in. My first though when I saw him was DAMN he got hot! (Mind you, I hadn't seen him in several months.)

After that day, we started talking every day. We became best friends almost immediately. We would talk on the phone for HOURS every day (once we were even on the phone for 12 hours straight, and 6 or 7 a night was completely normal). Jacob admitted he was in love with me, but I just wasn't ready. I wasn't over my ex, I wasn't sure if he was over his ex, I didn't want it to ruin the friendship... a bunch of bull to hide that I was scared, because I was in love with him. Truly and deeply.

Finally, on November 27th, 2006 I stopped fighting it and agreed to call Jacob my boyfriend. We've had our ups and our downs, but our love is still here.

In April of 2007 we found out I was pregnant. I was so excited. On December 21st, at 3:48 in the morning, I started having light cramps in my stomach. For several hours, I thought I was just constipated, but when I went to the bathroom and still kept getting the cramps, I got so excited. Was it finally time?!

I caught my mom coming out of her room at 6 that morning to tell her I thought I was having contractions. We started timing them, and by 10 they were about 5 minutes apart and becoming rather painful. We called Jacob and told him to get his butt to the hospital and we jumped in the car. When we arrived, I was 2cm. dilated, so they sent me out to walk. I came back in and Hadn't dilated further, so we went back to walking. Finally I was at 4cm, so they gave me an IV with penicillin in it as a precaution because my Staff B culture was positive. After that, they got me a room and my epidural. About 30 minutes after I got the epi, my water broke. They got me in position and we started to wait for the doctor. I felt like I could feel her head coming out, but the nurse swore it was just contractions. She finally went to check me and said oh, her head is coming out. (told you!) I felt the need to push, but the doctor still wasn't there so I had to concentrate not too. I was finally able to start, and after about 15 minutes of  pushing she was here! (from the time my water broke until the time she was here was less than an hour O_O)

Jayden Elizabeth Hurley made her debut on December 21, 2007, at 9:48 PM. She weighed 6 lbs, 15 ounces, and was 19 in. long.
